AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS

Nyla Nova's STEMversity After School Program is an educational experience that offers hands-on activities for K-3rd graders, both virtually and in person. This program provides an opportunity for students to explore STEM careers and encourages them to think outside the box.

The program takes place over the course of a few months, either during lunchtime or as an after-school enrichment activity. During this time, students are able to engage in interactive activities that focus on different aspects of STEM education. These can include anything from understanding electricity and engineering components to learning about programming and coding. Each activity is designed to help students develop their problem-solving skills while also gaining a better appreciation for the variety of STEM fields out there. Additionally, each student enrolled in the program will receive a STEM Kit that includes all of the necessary supplies needed to complete the various activities within the program.

In addition to helping children understand more about STEM subjects, Nyla Nova's STEMversity After School Program also encourages teamwork and collaboration between its participants. Through these experiences, students learn how to work together and tackle problems as part of a larger group rather than individually. They are also taught important skills such as communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving which can be used far beyond their years at school. Furthermore, through this program children gain tangible examples of what a future career in any one of these fields might look like— from aerospace engineers to computer scientists—which helps them become more motivated in their own academic pursuits down the line.

For parents wishing to provide their children with engaging educational activities outside of traditional schooling hours, Nyla Nova's STEMversity After School Program is an ideal solution that stimulates creativity while teaching real-world topics related to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Children have access to high-quality resources with knowledgeable mentors who can assist them throughout their learning journey while providing hands-on activities that appeal to all types of learners—from kinesthetic learners who thrive off doing hands-on projects or visual/auditory learners who take in information best when it’s presented.
