STEMversity Explorer's Camp

Scholars will put their explorer's hats on and pick up their magnifying glasses as they "Explore" nature in a fun and STEM type of way!

Our Schedule: 

Monday

Scholars are thinking: "I'm getting comfortable with my surroundings/nature, and I'm getting excited about this camp"Activity: Decorating their gear, Lab coats or sunglasses + canvas bag for outdoor scavenger hunt (if possible, students can pick flowers that can be used Tuesday)

Tuesday

Scholars are thinking: "I know what it takes for plants to grow (soil + sun + water), and I'm excited for my plant to start growing."Activity: Color changing flowers (learn about how water travels through roots) + seed germination lab (Each student will have a flower to take home by the end of the week)

Wednesday

Scholars are thinking: "I know that water = life. What else can water do?"Activity: Water Exploration (mixing water with different substances to study the reaction) + Growing crystals with water + borax

Thursday

Scholars are thinking: "How does water get to plants naturally? What role does soil play?"Activity: Soil Quality Lab (creating a hypothesis + testing different types of soil to see which soil is best for storing water OR Homemade paper lab (how water holds materials together)

Friday

Scholars are thinking: "I've learned so much about soil and water, how does the sun help plants? How does the sun help us on Earth?" Activity: Sun prints + Celebration Our scholars will earn prizes, badges and receive a certificate of completion.  Sign Your Scholar up Today! Limited Spots
