A Summer of STEM, Learning, and Community Impact

This summer, Nyla Nova STEMversity brought hands on learning, creativity, and exploration to scholars across Indianapolis through our Indy Summer Learning Labs program and community enrichment partnerships.

Indy Summer Learning Labs

Our Indy Summer Learning Labs experience combined academic instruction with engaging enrichment for students in grades one through three. Scholars participated in literacy, math, STEM projects, art, physical activity, team challenges, and educational field experiences.

The five week program was designed to help students strengthen academic skills while remaining active, curious, and excited about learning throughout the summer.

Our enrichment activities gave scholars opportunities to conduct experiments, create projects, solve problems, work with others, and connect classroom lessons to the world around them.

Learning Across Indianapolis

Our impact extended beyond one summer camp. Nyla Nova STEMversity also provided enrichment experiences at several schools, churches, and community centers.

The Success Center at Carriage House East

Our continued partnership with the Success Center included STEM clubs, summer programming, robotics, aviation activities, and hands on investigations. Previous programming at the center engaged approximately 95 students.

The Success Center shared that our team consistently demonstrates care for its students and provides programming that helps both youth and staff learn something new.

MTI School of Knowledge

Scholars at MTI School of Knowledge participated in interactive STEM enrichment that encouraged observation, creativity, teamwork, and problem solving. We appreciated the opportunity to bring our learning experiences directly into their school community.

First Samuel Baptist Church

At First Samuel Baptist Church, scholars explored STEM through activities that made science active, fun, and connected to everyday life. Community partnerships like this allow children to learn in trusted spaces close to home.

Moorhead Community Resource Center

At Moorhead Community Resource Center, scholars participated in summer programming that blended STEM and art. Previous programming at the center engaged approximately 20 students through interactive projects and creative exploration.

More Than Summer Programming

Our programs help scholars strengthen reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, math literacy, and problem solving through meaningful STEM experiences.

Every experiment, design challenge, discussion, and field experience gives scholars another opportunity to build confidence and discover what they are capable of creating.
